Does anyone know anything, or have first hand experience, with the 07/08 doors like the ones listed at the link below?

I would direct my question to Stephen at Safari Rover. It's his listing. His parts are all over the vendors loft
I've dealt with him on several occasions. Nice guy.

I had seen some on the interweb express concerns over rust since the doors are all steel skins. Additionally I would be looking to move as much from my existing doors and wanted to see if anyone had any practical experience. Stephen mentions that they are stronger/beefier than stock and I was curous if anyone could share before/after impressions.

time will tell on these doors. I think that all the new takeoff doors that have been purchased recently from me or Rovers North have been steel.
I noticed a better seal when compared to old doors.

Julien- There are different doors for '02 through '06 - similar frames to the '07 on, but still with alum skins. I have the same ones, and love them- infinately quieter, and don't leak. As Stephen says, jury still out on the steel skins- they do feel stronger, and rust is supposedly a nonissue.

I just cant see how if properly primed and painted they would rust any faster than the stock door skins. Aluminium and steel just dont mix, I'd rather have all steel doors.

if they're all steel and your building a truck to last, strip them, galvanize them and be done with it. granted its a little extra work and money, but there won't be any questions as to whether or not they'll last.
