Found these somewhere. They're obviously photo-chopped jobs, but I think it's a clear indication that it's doable. Time will only tell I guess....

Wow...they do bear an uncanny resemblance to each other. Ford has been very aggressive about manufacturing most of it's concept vehicles of late. I am fairly certain "now" that we will see the Defender in our market again.

Well, the original Early Broncos and the D-90's always did look very similar ever since Land Rover pushed the grill forward and moved the headlights to the fenders in '86(?). Both are well respected and have rabid followings. As long as they keep the concept to the original theme that started both vehicles, I wouldn't mind them being a shared chassis. I would just hate to see some hybrid grocery subaru-ish SUV suspension underneath.

BUT, I really do need to write to Ford on this one. I always loved my Bronco Roadster (canvas top and doors), and having that option available would push me over the edge into buying one.

I heard it will not have a low range.

and I am thinking that the new disco doesnt have a low range either. It does have a six speed box though - so it would be possible to use that and have second as your regular get going gear and 1st as a crawler - but i doubt the Disco is geared this way. even with a crawler not as good as a proper transfer box. relying on hill descent control - ie abs doesnt cut it imho. I want both...when...
