Installed one of these a few afternoons ago. When it was a bit warmer out. Took some pics during the process. It really makes the truck more liveable. Not that I'm living in it. Though I might be soon, with the way the $$$ is flying out of my wallet... :)

First install of one I've seen, very nice. Where did you get it and how $$?

Any interest in hauling a roof tent home from romp for some gas money?

Thanks KB. I bought it last year from a user on this board who never installed it. I think he imported it himself. Sadly it will not work on the 88 bulkhead but it should work on a 109 2 door. I had to trim 3/16" off the top of the "feet" that rest against the inside top of the body capping. The feet were 3/8" or more in thickness so losing that much was not an issue. I don't know if this is due to a structural change to the later defenders or what but it wouldn't fit the 89 tub in the backyard either.

PM'ed you on the tent issue.

looks like the bulkhead still limits how far back the seat can be moved back ?

So you just gained the ability to recline them more ?

it did allow it to slide back past the last notch without having to tilt forward. but now if I do the MUD uk (or DIY-r-US seat rails, I can slide back a 3 or 4 more inches. Which should do wonders for my left knee.

It also makes fitting my bike in the back alot easier.
