Hello everyone, new member to the forum here and am kicking off my Defender search in earnest. I'm not terribly interested in the station wagons so I know the selection slims greatly from there. If you own one or know of people who do I would greatly appreciate you dropping me a note. Also, what other forums or websites could you recommend to keep my eyes out for them being posted to fellow enthusiasts vs. the normal autotrader, craigslist, ebay, cars.com, vehix, yahoo, etc.

Also, is it ok to post this in the for sale - vehicles section? I didn't want to tick anyone off but in looking at the forum rules, it really didn't say not to. Thank you!

I feel pretty dumb now and it makes sense that it is Arles as opposed to Aries. I can't seem to edit the post though. I was wondering why in internet searches I was not seeing things I knew were out there. I guess I need to get my prescription checked.

Thanks for both the replies and the pm's about different options. I'm probably looking to stay within the mid teens to mid 20s as a general range. Honestly, salvage titles don't bother me either as long as the repair was appropriate. I'd like to steer clear (no pun intended) of the RHD models of any sort. I also prefer stock suspension setups, but would consider up to a to 2" lift as long as the original wheels were still available. The closer to stock regarding suspension the better. i guess given my experience with aftermarket paint jobs, I'd rather buy one that is already blue. Yes, we can paint anything, but to do it right costs big bucks. Not necessarily out of the question, but would rather avoid that if possible.

Thanks again for the replies and feedback.

Good luck with your search, it would be awesome to have another D90 in town. Werent all the Arles ST's imported in 94? What happened to Mike Hipperts truck?

The one on Copley is no Arles it had to have been repainted to dark for Arles.

C'mon, what are the chances a 32k mile truck has been repainted? Arles looks a little different depending on the light, and some of the trucks I've seen seem to have faded. Look at the new arles paint on ECR's site - it looks the same I think.

if you are referring to this one http://www.copleymotorcars.com/land_rover5_35.3vo1554.html - this is what arles blue looks like when it spends its entire life in arizona with one owner. =)
