Exhaust replacement

So, I have a new exhaust in house and was doing a site survey to see everything that would need to be done. I got replacement O2 sensors, and was looking a the current ones and got to wondering for those that have replaced them: what is the easiest way to access the electrical connectors?

It looks like they run up to the top of the transmission where they are plugged in. is it easiest to get to them through the transmission cowl in the cab or am I missing something?

You can reach up there and disconnect them.
