Does anyone know if the ECU and ignition are in any way connected and if so how?

I know the ECU controls fuel, but how does the 14cux (94-95) ignition get controlled?

Also

I am looking for a 3.9 flywheel, a used (worn is perfectly fine with me) V8 R380 or LT77 and either a complete wiring/intake/heads etc or some sort of carb set up.

Off topic, but Ron, is your ecu a 14cu or a 14cux? I thought the 'x' was only for non-North America spec vehicles....

I think the ECU turns the ignition relay on, let me check the manual, back in a second.

After looking at the manual they don't seem to be connected at all. It says the ignition is right off the start switch.

Sweet. So I can keep the ignition and ditch the efi you think or no

Why do you want to ditch the EFI? I'm not 100% that you could do that. Are you going carb?
