Dual Exhaust

Just wanted to find out if anyone else has installed a dual exhaust system.
I have dual Borla's on mine and it makes a HUGE difference.
It adds a good amount of HP, and my D90 cruises at 80mph around 2700rpm.
The added low growl certainly turns heads.
I had them both professionaly installed, and gave instructions on how I wanted it done. Both mufflers are sitting vertically, and are neatly tucked away from potential rock damage.

Do you have any pics of the install? How'd you work the catalytic converter(s)?

i have a dual set up as well. i actually hate the way it sounds now, because i was running no cats straight to the two flow masters and it was amazing, but i had to pass smog this week so on went the cats and now it only sounds like a little purr instead of a roar.
the only thing that sticks out under the frame is one of the cats other than that its completly out of harms way.

Yes, mine is also a true double.
Not to cheap to install, but I think it is worth the extra hp and the sound is just so sweeeeeet!!!
My CC is the low point on the whole system, but still doesnt get out too far.
I tried to take some pics but cant get a good angle without lifting it.

What size tubing did you use Keith? The way I understand it, is that if you are putting dual exhaust on a 241cubic in. engine, you need to use 2.25" tubing to maintain adequate back pressure and add a cross pipe to equalize the pressure. You could acheive the same effect with a 2.5" single exhaust and get the same benefits. Any larger tubing and you lose valuable pressure and the exhaust will not flow efficiently. Anyone have any expertise in this?

I just dont think duals are right on a 90, leave that to the guys in the fullsize Z71's and such

Yeah i agree...Im sure its nice but I think of Duals on a Z71 or other full-size trucks.....Just my $0.02

I dont have a chrome tip that was the PO's bullshit, I cut it off at the last hanger the 3rd week I had the 90, now I got someyhing a little different to accomadate my mudflaps :finger

James, may I ask who did the setup for you and combien?

this little shop in orange did it for me. it was 270 for the cats installed, however i already had the dual flows on there, so it would be a little more to recreate what i have on there.
