42in or 44in 15.50's or 16.50's I would like to see the Drivetrain.

Smart man! he knows the only axle on the market that can handle the 44's is the Salisbury. Good choice :grin

On a second look those axles look a like portals?
Portals and 42"s, sounds like a good combo except that hole not being able to go over 55mph thing.

You can go over 55 with portals no problem. Looks like Yousef is smoking the good stuff again!

I thought with portals since the portal was not lubricated and cooled well it would overheat if you drove over 55?

Thats mostly a myth. Keep in mind that tire size makes a huge difference in speed. There are some mog portals that are temperamental, in those you run some redline gear oil in the portals and you can hit 70 all day. I almost went this rout before I ended up with what I did. The ONLY thing that made me not go this rout is the mandatory 6in lift and required big tire. Too much for what I like to do and wheelbase.

I try :) If you are going to put some under there I want a whole ton of pics to be posted! If you are going to be spending a good amount of time on the road, I would consider volvo portals, not quite as beefy as Mogs but stronge enough for sure and better gearing.

Not for a while. I need to save up my pennies for a little while and I have other things to work on right now. Maybe in a year or 2.
