Has anyone switched out the square tail lights on a 94 to use the circular 95/97 tail lights? Do the 95/97's fit without modification? Thanks for your help in advance.

I have a 94, just wondering , why do you want to switch them ?
Mine seem fairly simple to service/remove.

My buddy has a 97 and I just like the look of the circular lights better.

I switched them on my 110 (I also like the look of the round lights better). I had to drill large holes for the plastic housing to fit through, and then also some small mounting holes. The lights have a connector so I also had to buy a pigtail that had the mating connector. I can find the PN if you need info. Also, on the 110, the roll cage is runs right behind where the two outside lights go. So I had to remove that section, and I still need to modify it to get it back in. Hopefully you won't have to do that on a 90.

Ryan - thank you for the information. Do you have handy the PN info?

Not sure what you've gathered up yet, but here's what I used:

(2) Stop Tailight Assemblys PN AMR6526
(2) Indicator Tailight Assemblies PN AMR6527
(1) Reverse Tailight Assembly PN AMR6528
(5) Tailight Plinths PN AMR3850
(3) Connector Repair Kits, 2-pin, PN LRN-00-0005
(2) Connector Repair Kits, 3-pin, PN LRN-00-0006

I bought this all through Rovers North. There are military lights that are better quality than these, but much more expensve.

You might try Rovers Down South (www.roversdownsouth.com) for possibly better prices than Rovers North, I've gotten a replacement AMR6526 from RDS in the past.

I was thinking of changing out my 94 square taillights as well (don't like the look much). Can anyone identify these lights?

I deleted your Double post.:grin Mike

Not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I think those were made by Gulf Coast Rovers. But I think they were too expensive to make so they're not selling them. You might check with them anyway: http://www.gulfcoastrovers.com/

They are LED lights, and Ryan is right they are expensive to make. If I remember correctly it cost them about $1000+ for the rear, front, plus some wiring so they blink right.

LED lights have been advertised in the british LR mags that replace the big round lights. They were 20ukp each or so. I have seen in the US the oval fronts on a 94 in LED.

Personally I like the 94 style (I bought Ryan's old ones for my other truck). The 95-97 lights corrode.

Thanks, guys. Unfortunately, I don't have $1,000 in the budget for lights right now (at least not for taillights). They'll have to go on the long-term list.....

I'll second the problem with interference with the inner rollcage when trying to retrofit the newer round lights to a 94.
Only I was actually using a 97 tub so the holes were already there for the lights; but they(all) wouldn't fit due to the rollcage supports. I stuck with the 94 style lights.
