View Full Version : Installing A/C on a older euro d-90 ?????

Has anyone wired an older d-90 for A/C? What is needed? I have a complete new Kit and need to wire it to an older d-90 without the plugs in the footwells like on a NAS truck. Any advise would be great...

Randy I have not done this, but I expect it will be stand alone. All it needs is power and ground like anything else, and all other controls and functionality are self contained. Since it doesn't have an ECU you can be assured there is nothing fancy like it knowing when the AC is on or something.

It is stand-alone, but depends on what kit you have. If there are a couple connections which stymie you then they are probably inputs from high and low temp switches.

Cool. It will be installed on my 300tdi truck. That sounds simple enough. I will keep you posted if I have any questions.

I don't know if the V8 A/C has it, but on the Tdi A/C there is a little electronic control box
just behind the fan and temp. switches.
I have the wiring diagram of the Tdi A/C in case you need it.

The plug for the a/c has 3 wires brown, blue w/ black stripe, and white w/ green stripe. Its a 300tdi a/c assembly. Any Ideas Anyone?

Are the wires all the same gauge? The Germans like to use brown for ground, so that would be my guess (especially if it is made by BEHR). Aside from that, I would assume a large gauge wire would go to 12v and if there is a small one it is probably a remote wire, or an illumination wire, but this is all speculation. Hopefully someone has a wiring diagram or experience?!?!
