Howdy,
I'm curious if anyone has fit a Hannibal rooftent on a stock 110 rack? I'm looking at the 1.4m version and was just curious if there are any special requirements as to where it bolts down.

thanks

Peter,

This is just a guess but I don't think it would fit with the NAS roofrack basket unless you put some plywood or Yakima type bars on the top of the rack, then mount the tent on top. I would take the basket off and mount the tent to the roll cage.

You could mount it inside the basket, but you would have to make the rear bars on the basket removeable, for the tent to unfold. There was an article in LRW or LRO where they put one on a CT 110 which had a Brownchurch roofrack.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if it had to be mounted in the middle or it could just use two side rails. I had a Yakima rack before on a RRC and know what you are talking about Kelly. That might be an option. I don't think removing the rear rails is as much an option.

I just wasn't sure how it attached.

thanks!

Peter,

Jesse Ware mounted his directly to the 110 roll cage. He goes without the basket. I believe he just mounted through the cage itself, and raised the tent platform with some pressure treated lumber on either side. He has it on the rear of his cage. I believe he's going o make a custom platform in the near future (rack with flooring, storage and room for the tent).

Is the roof basket wide enough for the 1.2 tent?

I am almost positive that the 1.2 tent fits inside the basket well.

I wonder if he's been waiting for almost seven years to find a answer or if he figured it out already :)

I know I was doing searches for information and well I actually knew the answer to this one. One for the archives I guess.
