you change the wheels again?

you change the wheels again?

Yup.
Miscommunication on the first set. The customer said Defender alloys, so we put Freestyles on it. Then he clarified and wanted Boosts, so we later put on what he wanted. We have all the different types in stock so it was a non-issue (thankfully, as this truck is leaving asap). :)

Actually I was confusing this with the black one. The wheels on that changed too

The wheels on the black one were always going to be Freestyles. We rolled it around the shop on some others for a little while though. :)

No. If they aren't rusted junk we save them for diesel conversions.

Mike, I love the boosts on that truck. To put those on a NAS 110 do you have to use wheel spacers or do they bolt right up?Yup.

Correct, or swap out the guts of the axle for the thin flange style, otherwise the stock 110s thick drive flanges will stick through the center cap. Spacers are the cheaper way to go.

What is your opinion on the effect spacers have on the truck? I have heard theories that they add too much stress to some parts?

Mike, do you have any extra sets of Boosts you can sell?

mpsteil

And if it does add stress, would you care if you never took the truck offroad? I only drive mine on the street and might go with the boosts rims. ThanksWhat is your opinion on the effect spacers have on the truck? I have heard theories that they add too much stress to some parts?

Yes, they do that, but if you use thin ones they don't seem bad. I bet the engineer crowd has lots to say about them, but they seem to have been used with success for a long time.

We use the thin drive flanges because we upgrade the rears to disc and rebuild the front axles anyway, so we just do that work with alloy friendly parts.

Sorry, we just have a set or so of each type and I keep them for when a customer wants a last minute addition of alloys. If I had to tell a customer I was out of something it wouldn't be good. :) :)

Beautiful looking, as always.

Arles Blue is my favorite color on the 90. I'll be very interested to see how that color looks on a 110 after the final build. Is the cage going to be blue or black?

The '02 dash is nice! Any idea what the retail parts cost is for that conversion?

Looks really good Mike.
I thought you bought back the Blue 110 from a customer that couldn't pay.

Safarirover can source out the Td5 dash parts for you. He has the complete list.

Got my Boosts from this place:
British Recycling
11315 Dismantle Court
Rancho Cordova, CA 95742
(888) 908-7575

They are came stock on the 98 DI SEs

The Blue 110 I bought back was BR110 #4. It is still here in bits... not sure if I am going to finish it or not.
I already have a 110 project, a 90 project and a 130 project... not sure I need another. :) :)

90% of the parts for the dash conversion are factory. 10% are custom and can not be bought, but have to be made, otherwise some of the new parts will not work correctly in the NAS trucks.
Then there is the wiring...

I don't understand.

#4 means that we are restoring NAS 110 #4/500 (as in the number on the back).

The Black (now, black, was white) is NAS 110 #383/500

No, the floors are not green. You are looking at pictures of 2 different trucks.

That is going to be a beauty.

Is that a "new" Safari Gard bumper? Or is it a left over one from the previous CEO/CFO/COO?

If it's new, is the quality the same/better than before.

Thanks.

Thanks.

It is an ECR ROX bumper/ SG clone.
Back in the day, when SG was unable to deliver bumpers during their "issues", our customers still demanded them... so we make them in house, have been for yeas. Since SG came back I contacted them in order to have them make them for us again, but we couldn't make the numbers work, so we still make them here for in house projects, but not mail order.

The cars we do for customers are posted like the Black 110.
