I believe that I have read in th FAQ's that I can reset my fault codes on my 95 ST through a short process that requires disconnecting the Serial Link Mating Plug. Which plug is this? And does this actually reset the fault codes and check engine light?
Thanks.

Yep you saw it here (http://www.d-90.com/faq/Engine/EngFault.html) . You have to pull the plug on the ECM. It will clear all the codes and the light. Do you know where to find the ECM?

I have no clue where the ECM is.
Thanks

I think on the 95s its under the passenger seat.

Yeah. All of the computer stuff is under the passanger seat. There is also the on-board diagnostic display where I am getting the fault number. I am just unsure of what is what once I am looking at it. I am a little worried about unplugging the wrong plug. At the same time I dont really want to pay someone else to do it =)

I'v unplugged mine a couple times. I have also disconnected the battery and that cleared the code also. I had the battery off for a while so if it does not work right away you may have to wait a while.

Could you describe the ECM and what it is that i need to unplug. Small? large? 5 plug? goes from where to where? Thanks so much for your help.

No problem, it should have a big plug on it and about 20 or 30 wires coming out of it. I can take pics of mine in the AM if you don't mind waiting.

Mr. Hippert. Thank you very much. The pesty check engine light has gone away. The onboard diagnostic display says nothing so everything is great. Thanks for your help and you saved me a few bucks.
