What is the "red" badged item on the rear wheel where the drive flange cap would normally be??

Is it a locking hub?? Who makes it??

Fairly certain is a 30 spline axle by Summer Bros.

AVM makes locking hubs. I ordered a set a while back. I should call DAP to see where they are (they come with a part time LT230 kit).

How cool thats an Amphicar in the background a guy in the town I grew up in had a couple of those. Mike is that a toy of yours?

yup, personal project.
I always wanted one. Couldn't afford a nice one so I had to buy a rust bucket. It will be nice... someday. :)

Sorry, truck is headed to CA now. I don't have any better pictures.
SG used to sell that set up years ago. It was a tough set up. I ran it in ECR4 and beat the shite out of it with no breakage. The set up is no longer made. Summer Bros will make the axles, but the associated ARB locker is NLA. There are better ways to get a rugged rear axle set up these days. Back in the day that set up was the bomb.
