Have leaking hose on existing R-12 charged system. All the majors do not have Defender 110 NAS parts available.
Has anyone run into inventory? Looking for a Dryer and any hoses. Have a leak in the one that goes from the evaporator to the compressor (its insulated) Any help or experiences appreciated! :confused

Have you tried RoversNorth? They are getting some AC parts for my 110 from the UK. LRNA (yes LRNA) recommended that I go to them when the dealers here said they couldn't help.

Also, I bought a new R-12 dryer from RoversLand in FL about a year ago.

Doug,
Thanks! Dont's know if I will go R-12 or R-134, it will depend on if there is any R-12 left in the system. I got a price of approx 230 for the dryer at Rover N, but it is a special order item. If I do the conversion, then I will need the dryer.
Is that about what you paid for your unit?
Will let you know what happens.......

Maybe a bit less -- not sure as it was some time ago now.

Does anyone know what a full charge to a empty system is in volume? (LBS)
Thanks

Resolution!
Took truck to MAXair, and they evacuated the R-12, could not find my leak, put the R-12 back in, (it was 6oz overfilled and making the high pressure cuttoff kick in) Found the leak I told them about, Replaced/Rebuilt the LR 237.00 Hose for 15 bucks, Installed some insulation (not perfect, but it will work as it was the line by the exhaust, Refilled and Presto (and 180.00 dollars later) it blows cooler than ever!
