I am gathering parts to do a LHD conversion on the 110. It has a Disco 200TDI that I installed last year. Does anyone know the part numbers for the power steering hoses that will work with the LHD steering box? Are they the same as the ones for the V8 (the pumps look to be similar)?

You would have to do something custom as that engine configuration was never in that truck.

Assuming that the PAS box has the same threads as a factory 200Tdi, then they are:

NTC8860 steering box to reservoir

NTC9074 pump to steering box

NTC9071 reservoir to pump

These are for defender Tdi installations... is the discovery pump in the same place?

If not, then the discovery pipes are:

NTC6069 rerservoir to pump (then changed to ANR3133 after VIN MA086240)

NTC8864 steering box to reservoir

NTC6070 pump to steering box (then changed to ANR6656 after VIN MA081992)

the disco engine and lhd dont work without a custom steering shaft. Suggest you contact Matt B @ Overland Engineering. He got it to work.

I've got a 300TDI exhaust manifold and turbo that will give the clearance needed for the steering. Will need some custom plumbing but no more than I had to do for the disco turbo. Jamie - thanks for the part numbers, I am not sure if the pump is in the same location as the defender 200TDI. If the defender 200 pump is the same as the 2.5TD, then it is in a slightly different location, but I am currently using the 2.5TD RHD pipes succesfully.

We did exactly what you are trying to do with my brothers 110. We converted it to lhd and @ the same time put a disco 200 tdi in using 300 tdi manifolds and turbo. The two custom parts that we had to have made up were the power steering pressure hose and exhaust down pipe. It turned out very well and is a blast to drive (also swapped out the 1.6 tcase for a 1.2).

Hey Doug, what hose did you use for the return? I fabbed the down pipe for the disco turbo using some elbows from Summit Racing and I will probably do the same for this turbo. Also, what size tires is your brother running? I currently have a 1.4 with 7.5x16s and it is definitely tapped out at highway speeds, but I am looking to go to 255/85s so the 1.4 may turn out to be OK.

He's running 255.85.16 Mud terrains.
Contact him directly Cabell.Crowtheratverizondotnet.
He had a local shop make up a downpipe that mated perfectly to the stock 110 300 tdi exhaust.

For the reservoir to pump, we used a NAS disco V8 hose (96 vintage). The other hose I had fabricated at a local hydraulic shop using the original tdi end at the pump and a NAS disco fitting at the box ( used a NAS disco PS box as well). I highly reccomend the 1.2 case, the 110 pulls like a train and is great on the highway.

Thanks for the info Cabell. Is your truck a pickup or a station wagon? Did the 1.2 affect your mileage (good or bad?)

Mike, it is a pickup. I didn't check mileage with the 1.6 because it was only in a few days, but I am sure the 1.2 helped a good bit because it really lowered the revs. Do you have the lt77 or the lt77s? The "s" box has a higher 5th gear ratio than the early boxes. I have the early box and couldn't be happier with the combination of it and the 1.2. 25 MPG on the last tank.
