The 2 prototype kits are here now and we are doing the installs for the instruction pages and hardware kits and such this week and early next.
Paul from Elite will be here at ECR on Friday to go over the kit and the finalize all the details. 8 more kits are shipping next week. Once they arrive and we get the US Customs costs and all we will be able to price the kits. I think the longest delay will be me finding the time to write up the instructions, but I'll pull an all nighter if need be. :)

These identical to the 97 kits? I have the LR install manual for the 97 retrofit kit.

There are still a few parts to reproduce for the 97s, so those are not available just yet. Soon though.

What we are buttoning up right now are the NAS 5 speed kits and the new harness that ties into the factory EFI for proper operation (what the competition lacks) and better a better hose set up, with cheaper repair parts and repair parts that are easier to get, rather than things having to be special ordered.

Tdi and Td5 RHD and LHD kits are ready to go and inventory comes in the next couple weeks.

Are there any plans to produce the rear A/C units that will fit the NAS110?

Anything is possible, but I seriously doubt that enough demand could be generated for that system to make it worth making. About 50 kits would need to be made and Elite says it took so long to sell the last batch that the numbers no longer work for them to sit on kits. The sales figures dropped off for those once the South American 110 production plant closed.
The standard Elite rear AC system fits the NAS 110 btw.

Get 50 or so of your 110 buddies to pre-order and we'll get them on the way. :) :)

I'm a hugh fan of Topless .... but maybe that's the Plastic Surgeon in me (interpret that as you wish). Either way it's still hot as sh.t here and a new A/C\ would be nice. ;)

I'm in on one of these rear units whenever we get enough people. The wife has said I need to get rear a/c.

Wonder what the odds are of one more run of rear ac units if we can actually get 50 or so people?

I would love to really look into this as I know I am going to need one of these.

Get me a good sized list of people together that want 110 wagon rear AC and I can get them built for you.
Everything is in place to build them, they just need to know they won't be sitting on them like the last batch they did that took many years to sell.

Honestly, I can't see being able to get roughly 50 110 owners together for this. In all the 110s I have done we have only installed a few of the rear AC units. It has never been a big seller.

I agree 50 would be tough but it is worth a shot.

So got any idea on a ball park price for the unit?

Then maybe we can start a thread.

Thanks

Tyler

I was about a week late buying a rear a/c from George at RDS when he sold his last one. I remember the price being over 3 thousand.

If I recall they were about 2000 when new and available, but that was some time ago, and yes when they went NLA the prices went up.

Well, count me in anyway for a rear a/c - my 110 is going to arrive here in Khartoum, Sudan in 2 months and it is 45C here today (what is that in Fahrenheit? like 130?). I want one.

Cheers,

John

I would be all in if I knew the price. Guestamations are always helpful. Ya, I know it does not get that hot here in Seattle.
