Put in new exhaust hangars (muffler was almost on the ground), and broke the cat. Strange that it broke just going back to where it all belongs.
The left one is cylindrical, the right one is wacky shape. Same guts? It cracked around the forward cover of the cat, totally straight around just opened up on the edge. Anyone know of a patch or something I can do on there besides replace the whole bloody mess? Don't want to get in there and screw up all the O2 sensors if I don't have to. Sounds awful, so I have to something fast.

Wicks, A good muffler shop should no trouble welding that. If not,and you have access to a set of torches u could solder it!

Right Peter. Cruised down the road and found a creative welder. First one was scared to try.

Do you have any paperwork on that? What should I tell the dealer?

On my range rover, at 78000 miles, the cats started to rattle. I had them replace free of charge.
Your truck came with the folllowing
Car warranty was 3yr 42000 miles or 4yr 50000 miles
paint 6yr unlimitied miles
emmisions warranty 8yr 80000 miles
I will scan and email it to you, you can also call and mention it to a service advisor. I will email you,
I have your email.

You think someone will buy the stock $850 Y-pipe? I'd gladly upgrade to the NRP, even tho I'd have to do the work myself...
The NRP Y-pipe looks great, but I'd prolly rather just have a Flow and custom made tailpipe bent properly and stuck on behind that.
