Guys:
I just installed a 3" lift in the D and I am getting some significant vibes. I assume I need to swap out the drive shafts for some Double Cardons or maybe even some multiple double cardons. Can anyone make any specific recomendations and/or recommend a good source? Right now I am looking at AEDOFAB. Has anuyone dealt with them before? As always, thanks for any help,
Doug

Hey Doug
I installed the same lift a few months ago and I went with the DC-drive shaft from GBR. It was about $600 I believe? Anyway, it's easy to install and I haven't had any abnormal driveshaft vibrations since. I only elected to install a DC up front and kept the OEM in the rear, but will eventually replace that one too. Hope this helps & let me know if you've any other questions.

I second Great Basin Rovers. A tried and true solution.

From what I have read we can simply swap a DiscoveryII front driveshaft instead of buying a custom unit for 3 inch lifts?
I have been looking at lifts and found the DII driveshaft relatively inexpensive. I have held off of the lift however due to the fact I thought the majority of the vibes were from the rear driveshaft not the front?
So, am i safe to assume i could do the lift and front shaft swap only untill I can afford the rear driveshaft?

I lifted my 90 3" and use Tom Woods drive shafts, $378. Strong, uses spicer ujoints. No more vib. from rear. Then I installed Rovertym front radius arms to correct steering geometry. Got vibration from front so installed Tom Woods driveshaft with no cardons and it fixed the problem (I think it was longer than stock). Cost less than the double cardon.

I don't know if you get everything lined up good you should be Ok with the stock drive shafts. I have around 4" and stock front and rear, no vibs but I do have to replace the U joints around once a year if I'm not to ruff on them. I think Randy (tdiguy) had problems with the CV shafts, but I don't rember.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to give GBR a call tomorrow.
