Condenser Fan Switch where is it?

Can someone tell me where there switch is for it on a 97. Also what does the senor right behind the driver side motor mount go to? I have the shop manual and the factory parts book can not seem to find either in it.

You mean to tell me no one knows where this thing is? I know there is a coolant temp senor up by the thermostat does it control the condenser fan also? There is also the temp sender there. Someone, Anyone.

Hi Dana,

The fan is controlled by the ECU and the sensor is a Knock Sensor. There should be one on the other side as well.

Not sure about the V8 engine, but on the Tdi it's right under the
cooling system elbow that comes out of the thermostat housing,
2 thermoswitches there.
