I don't want to start another thread but I seem to have to .

Everyone that has done an electric fan upgrade has used the flex-a-lite model 210 or 220 - only issue is that they don't seem to make that model anymore, so I can't find the dimensions or stats on the fan to see what the newer version would be?

I was going to try and go with dual-12" fans (somewhere in the 3400 CFM range) with the VW A/C thermo control that was on the FAQ here - looked like a good setup - not sure if I could duplicate the custom rad bracket though - may just have to go for using the bolts that go through the rad - hard to remove, but I don't plan on removing it any time soon.

I would also like to go with a three-way switch - on all the time/auto/off

Any idea how to rig that up?

Thanks!

Don

Cheers...Definitely will. I think the flex-a-lite 225 (current model) may be appropriate, but I think it's dual 10" fans... Still researching options currently, but need to move quickly if I want any more trail time this year. It will run fine all winter with no viscous clutch, but need it for the rest of the summer.

Also researching bringing across another Kenlowe fan - really good quality, and never have an issue on my 300tdi.

I thought there was a good junkyard dual fan that fits the V8s nicely.

For a TDI, the Taurus fan fits nicely, but as I understand it, not so well on the V8.
