You linked the general website, and I went on it after you posted and I picked out the 35 300tdi LHD trucks.

I love the frowny face... welcome to my life of driving past a dealer everyday on the way to work. They totally don't display brand new Defenders with the prices at all...

The reason I ask is that the white color is beginning to grow on me...torn between leaving it white (easier and cheaper) or trying to convert it to Arles Blue...

They'd probably assume you were starting a small army if these pulled into port.

Dont forget about military/government rovers in the netherlands (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=nl&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.besko.nl%2Findex3.html). Had a bunch of series vehicles as well.
Dont quote me on that yet. Need to double check:confused

the vehicles at jacksons are part of a cancelled UN order, Witham has some too. The UK millitary uses all types of defenders including regular colours. the SAS uses diacoveries, range robers and defenders

At least you can drive past a dealer and see new defenders.

Julian, just get a couple of those 300tdi trucks in. Make sure to rebuild them on 1983/84 VIN plates first.

Is there a reputable dealer in the States that sells legal 1983/84 Vin plates with 300tdi engines?

They call it "the white fleet", but it also relates to vans, utes, cars, lorries etc, and not necesserily white, they can be any colour (apart from olive drab)
UN vehicles tend to be white though.
You can find some more at Witham SV (http://www.mod-sales.com/)... their auction site is cool too!
