I have mud all over the inside of my engine comparment from the tires flinging mud thru the wheel wells. Has anyone ever cleaned their engine comparment out with a hose? :confused
This is that fine virginia clay that doesn't seem to want to go away... :)

I do all the time. I cover the disributor and air intake with plastic bags and then go to town. After, I remove the bags, start the truck up and let it run for about 10 minutes to dry everything off.

Yes. I hose it off after every outing. Just have to be careful with the electronic parts. Lately I have been using Simple green to degrease - straight up. Armour all tire foam after the engine dries makes everything look nice and new.

I do it with the pressure washer, I don't cover anything! I also wash out the inside of my 90, I don't cover anything in there either. Never had a problem.

MIKE,
Do you have a picture with your d-90 covered in mud inside and out?
Didn't I read somewhere that you remove the hood during wheeling too?

Nothing says lovin like 35's spinning mud in your face....
However I have only seen him on the highway with the hood off. Never offroad.

Yes, I like to say he is soft in the head. :crazy
If you really want to see crazy. You need to go wheeling with his DII buddy Jimmy. It's like the Dukes of Hazard with the two of them on the trail. Never seen a DII get air before. Now I have.
Edit: One more of my favorite pics...
