As partial as I am to Land Rover, I'd take this G500 over anything Rover has ever offered.

I'll offer you my left nut for the vehicle. Even trade.

As a former 500 owner, the costs associated with that drivetrain and electronics are astronomical. The complexity was overwhelming. Waiting a month for a the dealer and then the independent to figure out how I can roll my windows back up was the final straw deal killer for me. I love the simplicity (albeit crude) of my NAS 110. Love the power of the G500 but that's as far as it went. Range Rover Sport is really the apples to apples comparison and a better vehicle than the G.

I'll offer you my left nut for the vehicle. Even trade.Better run it through "nutfax" to make sure it has a clean history and make sure mileage is accurate :grin

I've always liked the G class Mercedes. When my wife's LR3 extended warranty runs out we might be looking at these as a replacement. I want my wife to be driving a tank with my little girl in it. ;)

Should be a pretty nice new kitchen.

Jon,

I can't compete with a MB dealer, they can add whatever they want to the price and sell it.

Best of luck with the sell

I have been looking for one of these for awhile out here in the Bay Area and I can tell you if the dealer is offering you any where near 30k for the truck get down there and get it. My neighbor has one I have been trying to get from her and I would kill to pay what they are offering.

My dad has had an '03 G500 since '04 and has had nothing wrong save a rear window issue which was a fairly cheap fix. He only complains about the ride compared to his RR, but compared to a Defender it's like riding in a S class. It is bar none the most solid vehicle I have ever driven. Good luck with the sale and the new kitchen. Wow, talk about brownie points with the wife ;)

Wow, talk about brownie points with the wife ;)It's her truck, and her idea to go crazy on the kitchen. I just wish she wanted to keep it, and go a little conservative on the kitchen.

Loved my 04 G500
sold it for more than i paid actually - great trucks
get an aftermarket warrenty and enjoy (make sure it covers electronics and windows though - you need to do the later 05+ fix to them all (no idea what that was but they ended up doing all the windows on my truck under warrenty).

good luck with the sale.

My son was upset that we traded the G, that is until I took him for a ride. He said that it is like a roller coaster ride.

A Porsche Boxter S and $13.5k...No Aston Martin in the lot?

Jon_Winningham

No Aston Martin in the lot?
They had a burgundy DB9 AM...
I like AMs, but they are a little pricey for me.
My neighbor's AM was side swiped recently, and I am even nervous about driving the 110 on KC MO streets!
People do not care about others prized autos anymore.
