Hi,

I've broused these boards a few times and thought the time had come to introduce myself. . . . .
My name is Huey, currently living in London, UK. At the start of July I am shipping my 110 to Newark, NJ, from where we will pick the landy up and hit the road for (hopefully!) a year long trip, destination: Panama.
We're likely to stand out a bit as my landy is right hand drive . . .. so if you see a green RH drive hardtop trundle by give us a wave!
Looking forward to maybe meeting some of you somewhere, sometime.

Huey

Hi Huey, if you think you will be passing through Philadelphia, let me know and maybe we can say hi on your way past.

Have a safe trip!

Hi Huey.... I'd be glad to put together the "Welcome Wagon" and meet you in Newark!!! Not quite the environment our trucks our made for but we can always venture out and show you around. I'm from NJ about 14 miles from Newark and there are a few of us here. You can email me (glenn.guinto@verizon.net) and I'll see what I can do. :)

Likewise - give a route plan and then maybe there would be possible visits.

thanks for the warm welcome guys!

we haven't really got a route plan as yet . . getting the trip organised hasn't left alot of time, and I guess we're chasing that 'open road' freedom dream . . . . :)

I think we'll end up basing the US portion of our trip around visiting some friends (who seem very widely scattered!) while avoiding big highways and cities whenever possible. We should have 6 mth visas so, budget dependant, we should have time for a good look around. So all suggestions (and invitations :) ) greatly recieved! I'd really like to swing by some land rover meets / events too. Is there a calender available, or at least one that I shouldn't miss?

will be taking photos and hope to get them on the inter-web if I can . . . . .

Glenn - you have mail!!

cheers

Huey

Hello again. I think I've pursuaded my partner Sarah that we shoudl aim to be in Moab in September. Her landy enthusiasim wavers on occasion . . . .
Other than that we have a plan afoot to head up to Montreal (assuming we're allowed to drive into Canada . . .) soon after we arrive. Then . . . .ummmmmm, ?

Cheers

The Raly in Moab in September is definitely worth a stop--Moab alone is one of the treasures that one should see. That means you will probably be coming through Colorado and there are a number of us out here. We get back to England just about every year (my wife is from there) and it will be July this year--so we will probably be around when you are out here. Let us all know when your trip gets a little more planned...
