Anyone know of the service insurance companies use ASIDE from Carfax to check VIN numbers? I remember someone posting a response to a VIN check a while back, and searched and searched for that thread, but I read so many old ones that even if I use the search function on here I can't find it.

Looking for another company to use.

Also, are there any that you can get a subscription for a longer period of time? I hated having to redo my 30 day unlimited, and I wish there was a $100 5 year one as opposed to that $39.99 for unlimited 30 day BS.

Thanks Ryan. If I remember, I can call my bank tomorrow and see which service they use to check the VIN for lending.

Most financial institutions, Ins Co and Auto Auctions use Autocheck.

When a vehicle is sold at Auto Auction, it does not necessarily shows on the CarFax but 100% on Autocheck.

I also noticed that if you go to usaa's website

www.usaa.com

they have a deal with Carfax whereby you can get discounted reports, e.g. a one-time report for $23.99, 10 for $27.99, or Unlimited for 30 days for $31.99.
