I am selling my AA yellow hardtop which is in great condition. The inside of the top and sides has been painted white so it is nice and bright in side. One of the the rear corner pieces was replaced with a NOS piece prior to painting. All together I have approximately $2,400 in the top for repairs and painting. I would like to get $2,000 for the top and prefer pickup in San Diego. These are the only 2 pictures I have of the top on the car, but can take more pictures of the top disassembled if needed. In addition, I have buffed all of the glass windows inside and out and top comes with extra hardware and new(ish) door seals and a hatch seal.
Regards,
Clay

Why are you selling the top? I have a yellow 95 with no hardtop up in Fresno may be interested.

Bruce,
I seldom use it. I have a fastback top and tickford that I go back and forth with, so it is just sitting in the garage. I just purchased a roof top tent and would like some of the funds to go to a soft top rack for the tent so the wife and I can do some offroading/camping.

Guys...do you think I am a little high on the price or it is just hard to find someone wanting a yellow painted top? Any feedback would be appreciated please keep it about the top as my self esteem can not take anymore abuse :P

Clay is a hairy man that needs to shave his beard and legs.
just kidding, nice dash, is that the 2002 style?
If you paint the top (outside) alpine white i bet you it would probably sell better :) (more like factor)

I sold my painted top for 1350 and got a relatively quick sale, and that was several years ago when they were more expensive and tops were still in better condition.

Thank you guys for the feedback. Neil it is actually the back that the wife has to shave :). The dash is an Iron Goat add-on.
Price dropped to $1,800 plus shipping. Or will consider trading for 2 items - ST full length roof rack and complete A cage including fender mounts and pieces above the door.

I would be interested in it since its yellow, but your all the way in san diego and I am in oklahoma. I have a 97, I wonder if the colors match up. I am just driving it with the badger half cab set up, but would like it for winter months.

David,
Good question about the paint. I obtained the paint code for the AA Yellow and it turned out really nice. I don't know if there was any pigment variation by the factory between 94 and 97 for that color.

I wonder what sort of problems would be encountered trying to strip the yellow/white paint scheme back to the original gray base.

I would think that you would be better off repainting it

I am with Scott on that one... better to repaint. Why would you want to get rid of the white on the inside though other than personal preference?

ClayEven at 1800 I think your price is too high. The amount into it really doesn't matter as you bought replacement parts for it being broken. That doesn't make it worth more just worth market value if not less for being painted. Sorry man.

anyone can just apply some Gel-Coat on top of it after roughing up the paint a bit, sand & paint color of choice..
The top is already much better than new, come on those tops after all these years look dull & weatherd by now ...while your trucks paint looks good..
