Has anyone mounted Hella 4000s to the stock bumper/brush guard? In searching through the forum archives and postings, it seems that aux. lights are typically installed via the LR light bar. It also seems that the LR light bar cannot accomodate Hella 4000s without cutting holes the grill. If someone has installed Hella 4000s with a stock bumper/brush guard, how did you do it? Is there a way to do it without cutting holes in the grill? Thank you.

Weld a couple of light mounts on the brush bar.

i have an A bar on a winch bumper. i drilled two holes under the A bar equidistant from the outside curves and used a nutsert tool to install an 8mm nut inside the holes in the bar. bolted two Hella 4000 lights hanging down inside the A bar and it looks good. IMHO you don't want to weld tabs to the brush guard because it is powder coated and you will burn the plastic. also if you weld tabs to the back of the brush bar, you don't have much room between the grill and lights.

As a follow-up, I ordered the 4000s and brackets from denunzio racing. Both are priced well and the brackets fit perfectly on the crossbar on the stock brush guard (94). I had the brackets welded on this morning and now just have to install the wiring harness. Thanks D90.

My friend didn't seem to have a problem mounting his. Just drilled two holes in the lower cross bar. Fit fine.

For those bumper without the light provision on the brush bar. there is another bar that mounts on the bumper inbeetween the brush bar and the bumper, if using this method the 4k wont fit.
