This is simply a PSA as I have seen a bunch of threads now saying Safai Gard is closed. It is not closed, and West Coast Rovers is now the West Coast distributor, but will help anyone who calls. Eddie is a GREAT guy, who always answers his phone. He will never lie to you or take your money unless product is ready. Call him if you need anything.

Cheers,

Buck

kinda confusing regarding Safarigard. I was overjoyed seeing that the Co. declared a new beginning with service second to none. Always liked their product name, designs and their old website. Now the new Co. (I suppose new) made an effort to announce their product name again, yet some peeps still are reporting no answers to calls or emails, the new website has not advanced and is still undeveloped and there are no updates except this post where you notified us that West Coast Rovers are the new distributors for the West Coast (isnt Safarigard a West coast outfit?) Wouldnt it have been better to announce the new launch of safarigard and their new website or alternate distributorship when all was ready? What is exactely the purchasing shipping timeframe of this co.? The safarigard Co. really puzzles me.

Yes, that would have been a lot smarter. A lot of mistakes have been made by SG IMO. I think that they have never been run by a business man. However, they always had good products. All I can recommend is to talk to Eddie if you like the product. SG is not and may never be perfect, but at least now you can talk to someone who answers the phone, and will tell you when and if products will be ready, and make sure you are taken care of.

Hey Guys,

I am new owner of a D90 and now looking for some quality after market parts. I hear that Safari Guard has some nice stuff but their website shows nothing as stated above. Is there a catalog or something floating around online? Any other North American suppliers online catalogs for D90 goodies?

Maybe some links to some great Rover Porn...

Cheers,
t.

Unfortunately you don't know what is available. The SG site sucks and is just one page.

Not trying to dig on your endorsement, it just still looks like SG doesn't have their Sh.. together yet.

Umm,

Thats cool. Thats pretty much the whole point of letting people know to call Eddie if they want something or have questions.

Glad to hear they are on track.

The new owner had to take some time off for another project and people jumped to conclusions is how I see the situation.

Easy to do based on previous drama. I do miss the phone sxx from Mary. Telling me anything I want to hear just to get a CC # LOL

But really, Glad they are on track. Maybe Eddie can keep it honest. Just ship and sell what is in stock. Get them caught up on things.

They still around? I gave up on them in the 90's. Ordered rock sliders and seat rails from them and they charged my credit card immediately but took months to get my order. I would call and they kept saying it was in transit to my house.

I really hope the new owner can overcome the SafariGard reputation. I was burned twice by them, but never again.
