I searched but couldn't find a really clear answer (just a lot of mixed reviews). How much louder then stock is the Borla exhaust? Is it as loud as a flowmaster or something? (hopefully not)

Also just to make sure the Borla is a direct bolt in replacement right?

My stock exhaust has finally rusted enough by the muffler that it's cracked so I need to replace it and I've heard good things about the Borla exhaust.

Oh, and is anyone less expensive then AB on it? I'm not sure who else sells it...

Thanks

I love the borla on my truck. It is louder and it can drone but I still like it. The look is much nicer too. The only issue is I am convinced I smell exhaust in the truck but then again I am in stop and go traffic with no windows in

x2 on the borla, but it is pretty loud. It has a nice sound to it. Frankly, it is quieter than the wind noise at speed so I don't care too much, but at idle it sounds pretty aggressive (part of this could be my cats puked themselves out too). Stock rover exhausts are pretty quiet by comparison. I have one on my D90 and one on my LWB (both came with them when I bought them). NRP is garbage or at least was garbage.

Its loud. Bordering on obnoxious in my opinion. Ive got to go up a pretty steep hill in town and in second gear I sound like Im in something out of Fast and Furious and not one of the cool muscle cars.

I am sure you could have one made up by them. Aren't they in socal? I bought a take off NRP from 110 at ECR a while back which I am going to use on my build up truck.

Well I'm not really too concerned with the noise. With the wind noise and noise from the MT's I'm sure it won't be too noticeable going down the road...

AB is ~ $760 plug $51 in shipping..

After google searching some place called Auto Anything has it for ~ $646 with free shipping which seems to be the cheapest place I could find...

Ive got a magnaflow with a "mandrel" bent rear section, it sounds really good and is easy on the pocketbook.

I got mine for under 500 shipped. You need to google harderWell the absolute lowest I've been able to find it for is $614 or so from a couple of places such as goborla.com with bad web sites (a lot of broken links and such) that don't give any real contact information..

Suck it up. It's how my dog knows I am coming home.My dogs know when Im coming home in the SII and that thing doesnt make any noise. Hey dont get me wrong I like a nice sounding exhaust as much as anyone. Trust me my 46 chevy pickup sounds like a stock car. The borla just sounds a like too much like a Honda or Supra tuner car for my taste.

Well it turns out that two local guys have the Borla on their D90's and I've never noticed them being loud so I'm not worried about it...

I found a coupon for Auto Anything bringing the total to $615 and they have free shipping and there is no tax since they are out of state.. It's cheaper then NRP and I like how the tip is up and out of the way with the Borla..

Now I'm just debating between the Borla and the Magnaflow (in the other thread about it) just because of the price, the Magnaflow is only $479. Decisions decisions...
