You can actually ship them fedex oversized in a proper sized box. I just put wood on the bottom and put it in a garbage bag (I drained all the oil) and then put egg crate foam around it.

And I got one from Tillery in a rubbermaid container with some sort of industrial diaper underneath it and cardboard padding. Worked perfectly and came UPS.
