Non-ribbed for your pleasure? Couldn't resist.

Are you installing the full SD cage? Will it not work with the ribbed one? I may be in the same boat if so.

I have new takeoff ribbed tops and the ribs are small, almost flat. These are 08 so they are not like the older larger ribs. Have a few. Can also install Alpine lights easy enough.

Yes, but the cage I want it is made by someone else .
I've contacted them and have asked :
A - Does it clear the ribs
B - Would they custom make one tha twill clear the ribs ( maybe 1 inch higher posts )
Awaiting response

Goose,
I'd love the opportunity to build you a full cage. It won't be cheap, but it may be cheaper than your new cage, new roof, and labor to swap out the roofs. Plus I promise not to drill a hole in your top!

Jonathan,
Lets talk and see what you have in mind.
There is a chance I will not need to swap roofs, waiting for the manufacturer's response

Sent you an email. After adding up the costs it may not be much cheaper. :(

Just FYI:
Safety Devices EXO cages will not work with the older 7/8" tall ribbed roofs (as found on very early 110s (1983-1984ish)).
The Safety Devices cages will work with the later low ribbed roofs (like the one Stephen posted images of).
We have used smooth roofs on hand most times.
Back to the thread. :)
