Hey guys I am in need of a good used soft top for winter. I still have the windows from my original, but the top itself is in shambles. If anybody has one sitting around that is in good shape I would love to give it a new home for a decent price. Thanks guys

Are you looking for a used Bestop?

It does not really matter to be honest, just as long as it is in good shape so we don't freeze to death when we drive up to the moutains to go snow boarding.

Well...I have an old Bestop I would sell you but it isn't in great shape....I don't mean to say it has tears and such..it does not..but the windows are kind of scuffed and the like.

my plastic windows are in great shape, the rails in the rear are what tore on my old top, hence I could not "lock" the top down or even put my windows in. So if it is just the windows on your top that are in poor condition, I would still like to purchase it. Could you possibly e-mail me some photos of the rails corners etc.? scott do you have a soft top for a 94 ?
If so it will not work on the 97 they have different ways of attaching
94 snap and 97 belt rail

The '94's came originally with the Tickford top which attached using snaps; however, many of the '94's were converted to the rail system early on and fitted with the top made by Besttop. This was done by many of the dealers under warranty and by many of the original owners when their top wore out, since the Tickford was out of production.
The besttop underwent several upgrades throughout the years until it's final incarnation on the '97 model year, but even the oldest version will fit the '95 &'97 D90's. The Tickford top will only fit the '94 model.
Hope that helps,

The top I have will work on a '97...it is the belt rail type. Do you have the other fixings? For instance the bar that bridges the roll bar braces and the tailgate bar? Also there is the windscreen channel and the two spreader bars that attach between the windscreen and the roll bar fitted with snaps.

Are you talking about the bar that runs along the bottom of the rear window and attaches to the tailgate? Windscreen? Spreader bars? Does that have somthing to do with the driver and passenger side windows? On my 97' the only hardware you need is the bar that runs along the base of the rear window while it is zipped in and two bars that run vertically one just next to the passenger side window and one next to the drivers. They simply screw in. I do have the bridge that runs paralell to the rear window that supports the top. I have no idea if any of this makes sense!!:confused

Uh....yes...the windscreen (windshield) has a channel plate bolted to the top of it....and then there are the two bars that bolt between the windshield and the roll bar that have the snaps that the bestop needs to attach to your rover...if you have all that stuff...i have a top that you can use. I went to the hard top today (what a bitch) after five years of it in storage. Now I remember why I hated it to begin with.

Great, why don't you e-mail me and let me know what you would let it go for. Defender99@hotmail.com Thanks!
