We recently began to offer several items for the LR including the Defender series. I am trying to solicit feedback on current offerings as well as possible new items based upon the owners needs. Here is what is available now: http://www.raingler.com/shop/products.asp?catID=26 (http://www.raingler.com/shop/products.asp?catID=26)
We also manufacture the items under the Jeeperman name shown on our website http://www.raingler.com/shop/categories.asp (http://www.raingler.com/shop/categories.asp) . If you have or have seen a Raingler products please let us know what you think, how you use it or what you may like to see in the future. Thanks in advance.

How about an interior safety net? Similar to a drop curtain that attaches to the interior rollbar on a SW. Some protection for the driver and passenger. Another product that I would definetly be interested in is a cargo tie down system, Simlar to the disco. It would be nice to have a flexible cargo sytem that could be removed when in daily driver mode. Done right it could transfer to the Jeep with just modification to the length of the tie down straps.

Eddie I have a question for those of us with smaller dogs.. Looking at the current pictures of the side and rear netting, is it possible to custom order the netting with slightly thinner strapping but also more closely woven to help keep the smaller frame rovers inside the Rover? If so about what kind of (ball park or guess) pricing adjustment could one expect?
thanks

Cool. I'll have to investigate.

Eric, I don't have a pic of mine handy. But it is the same setup as this:
http://www.raingler.com/shop/productDetails.asp?productID=156
Just moved forward to our SW inner roll bar hoop. The bottom of the net is about 8 inches, maybe less, above the top height of the center console. So it's great for being able to still reach back behind the cubby.

I'd be interested in one that covers the back of the truck at the body -- sort of like a tonneau cover from just behind the seats all the way back. Even better would be if it was adjustable so that larger items could be stored under it.

Another thing I came across might be nice to see this product:
http://www.raingler.com/shop/productDetails.asp?productID=178
applied to a D90. Just above the tonneu level that some how mounts to the exisiting forward and rear roll bar mounts.

thanksThe openings of those nets are appx. 4"x4". I have found that if we go much smaller if seems to make it difficult to see out well (at least in a 1" wide web.) The smaller stuff decreases the strength pretty quickly for instance the current 1" web is 1,000 lbs. per sq. inch, changinging to 3/4" drops that number in half but I will consider it, anyone else need smaller openings?
On the divider, this net: http://www.raingler.com/shop/productDetails.asp?productID=104 can also drop from back and top to down to floor area as shown and has 8"x8" openings as an alternative unit.

thanks very much for the feedback we greatly appreciate it.

Ahh.. are the ones pictured differant sizing between the rear net and the size nets? After looking closer it does appear that the rear one is smaller. If so, can the side nets be order in the smaller 4x4 pattern?

How would you feel about installing footman loops or tie downs on the tub inner edges? If so, I have a net that will fit this area or can use the http://www.raingler.com/shop/productDetails.asp?productID=104 to make a tonneau cover of sorts that would also go up to wall off the front cab.

Sorry for that, the one shown was a prototype, the current units are both 4"x4" openings for sides and rear to match. The center lower and upper ring has been ommited. Last note, the side nets will soon available in red or black which is in stock.

Thanks for clarifying that Eddie. If you are still in the shop, check your email.

Anyone coming out to Paragon this weekend can get an up close look at these. I ordered a set to help keep the dog in the truck as I am flying solo without Lisa for dog control this weekend. :)

Anyone have any rovers (carbon-based or aluminum-based) that weight 1,000lbs per square inch? ;)
What about just making a smaller dog netting kinda thing?

Eddie, I'd prefer not to install loops -- could it just attach to the rollcage? Sorta like the side nets, but laid down (if that makes any sense).
Thanks,
Tony

So you could do something that would have the same footprint as a tonneau cover with six straps, one to attach to each leg of the rollbar?

It would not be required to install the side centrer anchor points although it may be benificial to some to use them. The stainless rings allow for the net to conform to the load it is carrying as this shows: http://www.raingler.com/shop/images/2Discovery2LG.JPG
Example would be a large box in the back area of the net that protrudes body tub line and then nothing under the front area. This center strap would prevent the box from centering itself or shifting forward.

Yah, that'd work, though if it were only big enough to cover the "bed" (for lack of a better term) and had fixing straps for the 2 back legs of the roll cage, 2 for the legs just behind the seats, and 2 more that would attach to the diagonal braces, I'd think that'd hold it well . . . what do you think?

Best idea would be to have the front most straps angle to the floor behind the front seats IMO.

For that matter, they could tie down to the crossbar behind the seats. I'd be very interested in something like that . . . think it's doable?

If you would be able to send me an approximate length with the drop down I'll cross reference it here as I do not have a D-90 available now. This net looks very close upon the photography: http://www.raingler.com/shop/productDetails.asp?productID=1

That does look close. I'll try to measure it up this weekend and will include strap placement.

As a quick follow up, I ordered a set of the side and rear nets last week for dog control during the Paragon/Rausch runs. Thanks to Eddie for getting them out to me so quickly I had them in time for the weekend's outing and they worked real nice! Look for a write up and more pictures of them very shortly.
