I was just reading about the G4 challenge and they listed the countries participating and the USA was missing from the list. Whats the deal?

That’s odd. Last time I heard they were interning the NAS LR3 in the G4 challenge to show that those trucks are still capable off road as the previous Disco’s.

If you are talking about last years G4 event then there was one lady participating from the US. I think her name was Karen???? We were in Manhattan cheering her on....

No USA participant? I hope that's not true.

Kinda off on a tangent here, but just the other day I saw a G4 Edition of the Freelander glowing in its bright ugly orange in California going northbound on the 5 (Golden State Freeway) near Gorman. The driver of the Freelander did not wave back or even take a glance even though I was driving by his side for some time!!! Anyways.

3. Eligibility Requirements.
A. To be eligible, Applicants must:

be at least 21 years of age by June 21, 2004;
be a citizen or a lawful resident of the participating country they apply to represent. Participating countries are: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan R.O.C., Turkey, United Kingdom. Applicants who are citizens or lawful residents of Belgium and/or Luxembourg will compete for one competitor position for a consolidated Nation called ‘Belgium and Luxembourg’. Applicants who are citizens or lawful residents of Chile and/or Costa Rica will compete for one competitor position for a consolidated Nation called ’Chile and Costa Rica’.

That's odd. The USA is ineligible. I wonder why that is so.
