Any one have any experience with this setup?

I was thinking about the Old Man Emu, but in my experience they're pretty stiff. Any other kits anyone can recommend for around the same price?
I'm not going to offroad a ton and want a decent road ride.
Thanks

Bilstein shocks, OME MD rear springs in back, RRC rear springs in front is my happy set up. Or, you know, stock. :)

Yikes, please don't get that setup. Get Stock suspension, Bilsteins or OME.

What if I want to add a little bit of lift. Maybe 1.5" to 2"?

Rovertym. I had bilsteins shocks...just installed 2in Rovertym springs last week. Happy so far. Everything I read stated Old Man Emu was the "tried & proven/bread & butter" setup. I like to do stuff just a little different...and everything I read about RTE seemed good. Search the fourm for Rovertym springs or RTE springs. I've got the rr4-2 up front and the rr3-2 in the rear. good luck..j

I used the Land rover genuine heavy duty springs on my 90 and I liked it much better then the OME. The ride was much better and I still got a 2 inch lift. I have used OME on one other 90 and several disco's. As for shocks I do like OMe and they have a new sport shcok that is supposed to be very good. speak to Les at RN.

Rovertym is great and I'm running the adjustable ranchos. 3" lift and the ride is better than stock in my opinion.

If you go OME, let me know. I just lifted my G4 with OME springs and the new Sport Shocks. I got them from a shop in TN that gave me a great deal. I can pass along the info if you want it.

I currently have heavy duty OME's that the previous owner installed. Is this a good set up? Isn't it a bit overkill to have HD shocks & springs unless you're transporting cement or something on a daily basis? It's really stiff. Any little bump and it rattles like crazy.
Thoughts?

Whats supposed to be better about the OME "sport" shocks, I have not been able to find much information on the www.

Well I guess I could have just posted it here for everyone:

I think John is the owner. You can ask for him and tell him you're interested in an OME suspension. He gave me a really good price and had it drop shipped straight from ARB in WA.
Not sure what's better about the Sport shocks as I could not find many review before I bought them either. I think it has to do with the triple stage valving and the plastic dirt shields.

What did you end up shelling out for the whole setup?

Anyone go 5 inches in their 90? Have been told not a good idea and been told no big deal. Thinking about going 37's.

Depends on your truck set up IMO. SW top + 4 jump seats, tools, Rockware bump/winch+ sliders+ roofrack + miscl accessories, is a lot more weight than a regular ST. Been running HD OME all around for years, doesnt seem harsh IMO/no rattles. Always glad to have the HD especially when loading add'l pass and gear to the truck in it's present configuration, as sag is minimal. Offroad personally I like the extra stability over extreme flexibility in a "expedition" frame of mindset in the station wagon.
Of course if I were to go extreme offroading, i would probably dedicate a truck for that sole purpose were extreme flexibility and low weight would rule.

Thanks Mark, that's very helpful. All I have to compare with is the first car I ever bought which was a leaf spring Series III, which is why I'm asking. It feels stiff but then again, i'm not sure what is considered normal. I had it fully loaded on trails in Moab and I never had a problem with sag so I do appreciate that. I have no idea what springs I have on. Is there a way to measure them perhaps? brand markings?
