I am having a welder make up an front A Pillar cage (hoop) and B Pillar seat belt holders (driver's and passenger's side) for a lot less than what they are going for new. Does anyone have an interest in these items as I could see if he could fab up more than one set.

Is this an interior cage or the exterior cage? I am looking for an cage option for my 130 crewcab.

in the past no one has been able to match the radius of the SD parts......

Other than the rubber coated parts, we can get you any pieces you need, from SD. They will match the existing parts. The entire POE style cage kit is only about 1200. so just the A hoop would be cheap.
If you need anything drop me a line after the first of the year and I can get you prices.

Dale,
Should be as he is not "hack". I will let you know pricing when he is done. Since I am local, I am having mine made to not include the intermediate bars that go from the A to the B....it will be one piece going into the B. I am sure it is not a problem for him to do it just like factory.

Kevin it is the exterior cage part.

ECR - I did call you about roll bar prices and bits that I needed and was told that they were not unavailable.....what changed? That is a little unsettling to bring it up now.

What does that commerical say, "Things move at the speed of business."

As we track demand for any given product, that we can offer, things change. We were also able to convince SD that they should do small batch runs for us, not just 25 of one thing or another. As we order more product from SD, and they start to see that we pay our bills, we start to get more pull on what they will and will nt do for us.
6 months ago a one off from them was a "No way." Today it is a "Should be no problem."

Things are always changing and adapting here (otherwise we would go under).

Last week an easy to install AC system for a 1997 NAS 90 was not available (unless you found an old stock one). This week I got everything worked out and now it is.

Just trying to help people get what they want.

I'll clam up now so you can sell your cage parts. :) :)

Mike - I know you always have forum members in mind so hopefully you can get a price list together and post in the Vendor space as this will be most helpful when someone is trying to replace those rotted or missing roll cage bits. I look forward to seeing the pricing and availability too as it would be much easier to order them at a fair price rather than trying to tear off a seat belt roll cage bracket, find a welder, wait for him to move at a snails speed and then have to get it powder coated. :). Now if you could get someone to make B and C pillars that would be great as I could use a descent one.

I need the pieces that connect the A hoop to the B hoop (above the doors) for a station wagon. Can he duplicate those?

JohnThat's something I would take on, though I don't think my locations lends itself well to you, and I'm already on a 6-8 month backlog on custom build projects.
