I have heard of people sending their Fox shock out to be serviced. Has anyone here done this? About how much did it run you, did you think it was cost effective, and how long was the turn around? I ask because I still have my Stage III Fox shocks sitting in my pile of Rover parts. Besides showing the wear of 4 years on a wheeling truck, the fronts most likely only need to be refreshed. the rears are a bit more beaten up. Both have bent lower shafts (?) but also might benifit from a refresh.

I guess I am wondering, just how servicable are these kind of shocks or is it even worth the time, money, and trouble?

Chris,

I can't speak for their auto shocks, but FOX mountainbike division has always been more than helpful and has always gotten my shocks back as soon as possible. I had my front fork rebuilt and back on the bike in under 4 days. I would think that they would have similar service for their auto shocks.
