4.10 from GBR with less than 15k on it and alot of wheeling trips...My guess is when I was high centered on the rocks I was giving a fair amount of throttle in reverse trying to get off. So this meant I was riding on the weak side of the reverse cut gears and boom.

Yeah, but then I have to swap the rear gears to 3.54. And I can't beat ricers off the line with the stock gears. I'm actually liking the 2wd since I can finally do donuts :grin

Pete, you need a diff? I am almost positive I still have the front out of my Disco when I put in the TT. Mike let me know about the rear when you get a look at yours.

And how much work to get them to fit if any?

Aussie guys are running the Toy stuff in their LRs with 35s or 38s with pretty much no problems. Here's a run down of what has to be done.

Rear:
Remove diff studs, close holes, redrill for the Toy diff pattern, reinstall studs
Redrill for LR driveshaft pattern
Machine spindles ~20 thousands to clear the 30 spline shafts
Add New 30 spline shafts/driveflanges/diff w/ your gear choice + locker

Front:
Remove diff studs, close holes, redrill for the Toy diff pattern, reinstall studs
Redrill for LR driveshaft pattern
Machine spindles/swivel ball ~20 thousands to clear the 30 spline shafts
Machine spindle to run Toy bushing
Add New 30 spline shafts/CVs/driveflanges/diff (HP only) w/ your gear choice + locker

It's a fair amount of work, but nothing thats rocket science. The rear should be pretty easy and done in a weekend once I get the parts. My plan is to do the rear first and sell all of the LR stuff to fund the swap for the front. This swap seems more economical and easier than doing 60s or whatever because I can keep my housings and wheel/tire combo. If all goes right I won't have any real down time since this is still my DD.

Ahh some nicely damaged gears :) . Looks like I need some stuff. Oh and there was no problems with the front, the park break screw fell out! Good thing I put one of the driveshaft bolts back on! I put another on and torked them both down and NO more noise!
