I thought I would post this here because this is where the original thread of the subject is.

I just today saw that on bb4wa.com Bill has written an article on just the questions that I am maybe some others had about synthetic winch ropes. It is titled "The Reliability of Amsteel Blue Rope" in the articles section from his front page.

I found it very helpful.
