I have a 97 D90 soft top british racing green with 33,000 miles from Hawaii, I stripped to a bare frame, got a new frame so now its a rolling chasis with new OME springs shocks and brakes, there is no top but I have everything, Bulk head is good, seat box is new.
I have too many customer projects to do and not enough time or space
If any one is intrested call Eddie 949-768 3777 make me a reasonable offer
All the parts are in boxes at this time thats why there are no pics

So it's complete less a top and needs complete assembly? Is this correct?

'97 so it's got an automatic and 4.0 right?

I assume the chassis was rotted out from being on the coast - how's the body, doors, misc parts are still there in boxes?

Rough idea what you feel the value is - $5K 10K or ???

Just how shippable is it currently - could it be lashed together enough to truck it?

yes its a 4.0 auto it will need a few new parts the shifter mount for one but its 99% there
Iwant to get as close to 15k as possible but i also want it gone
it could be moved with a pick up and a trailer easily
the body needs to be painted with some minor repairs

if i could just sell this goddam G4 i'd be on this in a heartbeat, i remember seeing in when i was down there a year back. G4`s going on ebay in a week. every lead i have spoken to has tried to knock the price down $1500 due to the leaky rear main. f that. if by chance in hell this project is still around once i finally collect on the g4 i'll give you a call.

I know nothing about your G4, or the asking price, but if the only thing holding up your sale is a leaking rear main, why not just take care of it? It is more than likely just the cross seals and wont cost you more than a few bucks and a couple hours.

*sorry to hijack for a moment

Well, there are a few considerations- first off, I would argue that I have the car very reasonably priced relative to the G4 market as is (12k), and second, I am in no hurry to sell it. Put those two factors together, and I do not feel a need to eat $1500 on it. The only REAL motivation I would have to sell it now is this D90 project, but $1500 would be a rather substantial amount relative to the $15k I would put into this project.

As for doing it myself, I have neither the space nor the proper tools (locally).

If it was closer to Maine we'd be fighting over it. I dont have the room here to take on this kind of project but id happily stick it in my barn in Maine to rebuild. Im still trying to find time to drive down and see if there is anyway to pull it off.

I didn't mean to lose the $1500, I meant you could repair it very inexpensively and get your full asking price. That being said, I totally know what it's like when you don't have your tools handy. I spent 3 years in CO that I had to pay a shop to do stuff I normally would have done myself at home.

Good Luck with both your Sales! :toast
