I have my 1965 Defender Station Wagon for sale. It has been here in Virginia for over 11 years. It started life as a series but was converted over to Defender frame and Running gear with a reconditioned 300 Tdi. During the conversion it was switched over to LHD and added A/C. The 300 Tdi, r380, from a Defender, was reconditioned and just refreshed by myself. For some reason the head gasket blew, loose head bolt I think, and I have just finished putting it back together with new pistons, all gaskets, new injectors, glow plugs and glow plug timer and re-built turbo. The engine appeared to have very little mileage on it when I tore it down. It still had the hash marks on the cylinder walls! At any rate it is running fantastic! The truck has a full cage imported from the UK powder coated black. It goes down to the frame just like a NAS 110 in six places. I recently did all of the brakes with new rotors and bearings with seals. I can not find a lick of rust on the truck. The seats are in very good condition but the head rests have a small rip in the back vinyl. The Michelin tires. A/S, have plenty of tread. The truck has had a recent paint job in a Range Rover Red. They did a pretty good job on the paint, not perfect, but looks very nice. The inside has the thick rubber mat in the front and a load mat in the rear. It has a full head lining but no side trim in the rear. Rear wiper on the door with heated rear window. I am sure that I have left something out so just ask any questions.
I am asking $27,500.00 and have the title in hand. If you are interested I encourage you to test drive it. If you do you will buy it. This is my second Tdi and this is a great one. I am making room for another project. Will only consider a double cab in partial trade otherwise cash money please.

Send me your email and I can get you more pictures, hmmccustomhomes@gmail.com Thanks for looking, Mike

I did not do the conversion 10 years ago so I can only guess. I do know that the conversion was over a number of years in the making. It has a current Virginia Title.

Forgot to mention the the Steering Box, belts, Hoses and clutch were replaced in the last year.
It does have one small door ding in the drivers door, otherwise the body is in pretty good shape.

Thanks Trevor, But not right now.... But I sure will keep it in mind.

It is a sweet truck. If somebody is looking for a Defender that has had all of the work done to it, this might be the one for you. I have been slowly breaking in the motor. The only problem is getting it durty in this weather, Yikes, I will have to clean it now.

Price reduction to $25,500.00.

It will be at Uwaharrie this week for anybody that would like to see it. We are going to be staying at the Badin Lake Campground. I have been driving it daily and have put 1,000 miles on the rebuild.
