View Full Version : Longer Wheel Studs??

My stock LR wheel studs are about 1/4" too short when I fit my spacers. My research shows that longer 16mm studs may not be available, or are really expensive. Has anyone found a source for longer studs?

You can pound them out and shove in standard 16mm threads and tack them to the back of the hub in whatever lenth you want. I switched to 5/8 fine and normal nuts when I did mine just to make my life easier. This is for steelies though.

I have the "longer" ones anyway for my alloy wheels, but they are just a tad too short for the spacers. Zeus only says they are 15mm longer than stock, which doesn't help me as what is "stock?" There were stock ones for steelies, and then "longer" ones for alloys.

i think they are all the same actually except for the zeus and britpart ones. the zeus are 2 or 3 times the brotpart price IIRC

What the heck kind of spacers did you get Jonathan? All the ones I have and have seen you just bolt it on then use your lug nuts on the studs.

I'm running normal spacers- the EZ Accessories ones. The nuts they provide still leave about 3/8" to 1/4" of extra thread on the nuts. I would guess that I am using about 80% of the threads on the nuts. I am sure I am fine, but since I was swapping hubs for my spline conversion I figured I would attempt to at least swap in some proper studs.

I'll just Loctite the hell out of them! Below is a pic - it makes it look worse than it is. But that is the nuts on the longer LR studs.

Thats Scary not sure I would want ato run them that way.

I have finished my axle conversion and the 24 spline hubs I have have slightly longer studs. I also noticed the one hub I was concerned with had the shorter studs. Here's a pic of what they look like now.

The Zeus studs are what you need. I'm running them on my 110 they are 15 mm longer than the alloy weel studs.
