okay so trying to figure out tires.. it what ways would a 265/75/26 be different than a 235 or 245/85/16. would the later just be taller and more skinny? I am thinking taller and skinny for my next set of tires. anyone ever bought tires from the UK and had em shipped over. got my eye on some michelins not XZL's

265/75/16. 265 is the width in milimeters, 75 is the % of the width that represents the side wall height and 16 is the rim height. so 265 * 75% = 198.75. 265/25.4=10.4 inches for width.
198.75*25.4=7.82 inches for tire height 7.84*2+16=31.6 inches tall for tire height. This may vary a little as tires are not exactly the size they say they are.

Philip:
in case your looking here in North America....a 7.50R x 16 tire is almost the same size as a 235/85/16

i see that Rovers Down South has the Goodyear G90's ...i have these on my truck and they are great tires....quiet on pavement and good offroad

I currently run 255/85 tires. I think this is a great comprimise, because it's taller than stock, and only a little bit narrower. It really looks great, yet increases your cleance.

It's about a 33" tire, so a slight lift (OME, etc) is probably called for, although I'm not sure if its required.
