You put a bunch of effort into this truck over the past year. Starting a new project or moving on?

The winch control box attatches to the
left side of the winch. Yes the bumber is
enclosed on the back.

Barry,
The winch on Jamie's truck is an 9000XDi, the "i" standing for "integrated" solenoid. Jamie's winch does not have an separate control box. The remote hook-up is just off the top of the the right side of the winch.
Jamie,
Hate to see you selling it with all the work you've put into it. I still think that if you want the "conveniences" of the '97, you should just convert the 90 to auto, rather than sell it. But then again after having owned 3 Defenders, I'm not sure I have room to talk. :grin
To interested buyers,
If anyone out there is looking for a truck that's ALREADY BEEN GONE THROUGH and is NICELY KITTED, then this is your truck!! Like any recovering "rover addict" who has fallen off the wagon a time or 2, I've been "living vicariously" since Jamie acquired this truck. He has received plenty of advice from myself and other veteran Land Rover owners while restoring this truck. It really is that nice!!!! (If only I weren't in school right now..... :( )

Jamie, did you paint the hardtop?
Jamie Deck
May 16th, 2010, 04:39 PM
I had the hard top painted at Maaco, we matched the color and had them do some fiberglass repair and paint.

Mind if I ask what the cost was to do that? I have some repairs that need to be done as well.

$900.00 I believe, i think it was worth it as long as your planning on keeping it
No one wants to pay a premium on a nice hard top.
I have been trying to sell mine for some time.

Would you still be interested in selling it separately? If so, how much? I have a friend here in San Francisco, has 2 d-90's and is looking for a hardtop.

One of his d-90's has 12,000 miles on it, practically brand new and he wants a nice fiberglass top.

Great looking truck man. Do you just remove the rack each time you need to put a different top on it?
Wonder what it would cost to ship this truck to Georgia?

Weird anytime someone is looking for a black truck I send them a pic of yours. They usually then want a wrangler.

Thanks Jamie, I love this truck. Absolutely a joy, and beautiful too. Best decision I've made in a long time. Now if I can just gut the nerve to get it dirty....
