Anyone know if the fuel inlet on the tub side is the same size for an '83 versus '08? I know the hose is a different size. I have the older fuel filler with a locking clasp and a pre-filter screen. Would like to reuse that in my rebuild instead of the newer locking plastic cap filler. Just want to make sure I can fit the older filler into a newer tub. Thanks!

I could go on at length with this having just changed my 90 to a newer style filler. Different than a 110 though. It was kind of a hassle.

My rear tub on the project110 is a Td5, and thus had the same plastic screw-on type cap as the NAS rovers do (held in place with that large rubber ring thing)
I fitted an earlier twist-remove cap unit (so i could use the jerrycan filler tube) and it more-or less fitted in OK. had to drill out the 4 holes for the mounting bolts, but the holes ended up right on the "edge" of the old existing large hole, so i had to use some large-ish washers to hold it in place. Looks perfectly fine though.

Thanks Jim, exactly what I needed to know. When you say "earlier twist-remove cap unit" it looks like this one on my 110 right? Did you have to enlarge the main hole for the filler? Thanks

Here's an update in case anyone had the same question later.
