Not my Defender---, but this one is really clean- saw it on the way back from hiking Sugarloaf Mtn today.

It JUST arrived at the Alexandria Land Rover dealer- big market for them here....so this wont be an instance of getting it cheap---and it wont be on the lot long I am sure.

From the looks of it, it is bone stock (minus a bike rack on the spare tire) but in really great shape. If youre in the area, its right on Duke Street. I looked at it once when it was at the dealer before, the owner works on the same base as me (Ft Belvoir).

Anyhow...I dont know the price (still has the owners plates on) but it is indeed on the sales lot, not the "repair" lot.

The folks at the dealer have always been user friendly and should be able to give you more information on it. The guy that was looking for a D-90 from that dealerships number is (703) 740-3262- he can most likely give you more information.

I need that hood. And that L wing assembly. And the radiator panel. And the majority of the dash. And the console.

Sigh.

Edit:

Compressor. Evaporator. Trinary switch.

Why, what happened? Did you get in an accident? Hope everything is ok.

Actually I know a peripheral friend (that also has a D90 wagon) in Alexandria that knows the seller. He's looking for $29,000 I believe and may be able to put any interested party in touch to circumvent the dealer (and their costs). I also heard it is very clean and low-ish miles (maybe 70k?).

It is really clean- the interior and under carriage look really good as wel. Obviously I couldnt see the miles (digital) but that sounds about right.

I am guessing it will be on the lot about a week. Last fall a whipped D-90 ST (also Arles blue) sold for 30k, and it needed body and interior work.

Nah - just a case of the PO just treating it like a neglected stepchild. :)

If you're dying for that blue awesomeness, there's always a few '97s for sale on Autotrader ($30-$40k-ish). If you wait around, you might get one for sub 22-23k.

Exactly. And oddly enough, I've been modeling mine on the CvC truck. Long way to go. :)

I still have it. It badly needs to be waxed and I have a laundry list of stuff that could be done to it for general maintenance and improvements but who knows when I'll ever be able to get to it. Since my back injury back in April I've only been able to get it in it once to move it about 25 feet to a spot under a tree.

haha why thank you.
