I am having a problem with my drain tube for the a/c unit in my 90. The original one broke off leaving a ragged hole in the bottom of the unit inside the cab. It was draining on the floor so I tried to insert a tube with a threaded end and it seems to be working ok. Sometimes it drains water other times it doesn't. It is leaking at certain points at the bottom of the condensor.(very small drips) The water doesnt seem to drain as well as before. I was just concerned about what if any damage can be done if all the water isn't draining correctly. Has anyone solved this issue?
Thanks

Well I thought about this for a few, If I'm off hear or sound off then someone let me know but:
Water in the AC system is from the moisture in the air that is being blown across the condenser condensing on the fins, then becoming water, dripping off the fins and draining out the hose in the bottom. So everything in the plastic box that contains the condenser should by design be allowed to get wet.

Clear as Mud?
