I am converting my front cover to a serpentine belt/crank driven oil pump which means that my York Air Compressor will have to go bye-bye. Up for sale is a York 210 compressor with a custom (made by me) bracket that bolts right onto your engine if you are NOT running an air compressor and have a v-belt set up. It works fantastic--it will drive air tools, fill up your tires, keep your ARB compressor running, use it to inflate blow-up dolls for those long cold winter nights. The clutch works fantastic and I just replaced the bearing when I rebuilt the motor a month or so ago so that should be good to go for years and years. It is still hooked up to my truck, so if you are local and want to check it out, it works fantastic. Many of you that have wheeled with me have used it and can attest to it's power. The York 210 is the strongest engine run air compressor that I know of and I HATE to see it go but it is physically won't fit with the serpentine set up.

The bracket is designed to rotate to adjust for belt tension so a separate tensioner is unnecessary. Pretty cool design, IMHO.

What you get: York 210 air compressor with v-belt pulley installed, working clutch, and a couple v-belts to fine tune it to your application, the mounting bracket, the mounting hardware. Blow up doll extra. Shipping extra but it can go via UPS.

$250.00 plus shipping if not local.

Thanks,
Chris

Why not buy a serpentine pulley from Kilby?

That's what i did on my one... which is still sat in the garage awaiting for me to try and glue it to the Td5!

Can't. With the serpentine set up, the alternator swaps sides of the engine so there physically is not room to fit it anywhere. I have looked at other peoples serp set ups since they wanted me to fab a bracket so they could use the york but we couldn't find a good place to fit it. I will have to figure out a Sanden set up which shouldn't be too difficult but does not put out nearly what the York does. The York is king of the hill.

How much for the blowup doll, and what is her name. Picture? :)

so does this replace the ac compressor on the v belt motors?

Oh man, that's cool. If I didn't move to Denver and decide to get the AC fixed (bye bye cool mountain airs) I would be all over this. Sweet deal!

This is exactly what I've wanted to do... but the bracket isn't going to fit a 300tdi so I'm out...

Bill--yes, it replaces the AC on v-belt set ups. John, I never got her name--it was a quick affair which left me light as air but left her deflated so we called it quits.

Would that work with a 2,5 NA?
Mounting R side of diesel there are 4 mounting bolts.
Thanx

No. But it is simple (compared to a V8). Took me 30 minutes to make a bracket for a 2.5NA. $25 compressor, 5 minutes at a the junkyard and voila... If you want pictures of the 2.5 NA bracket, let me know. Don't want to mess (more) with this thread.

Chris, did you ever sell this? I'm looking for the bracket. Any chance you'd make another?

It is still available--there was a gent up in Breck that was going to take it but his D90's engine conked and he ended up with a disco serp engine. We can chat--just sent you a pm.

There is actually a factory bracket to mount a York to a V-belt V8. RRC early to mid 80's had York compressor.

Mounting them to a Tdi is a pain in the arse as it has to lay down and there just isn't much room, complicated bracket to fab.
