Hi all,
I have for about a year now been driving with no speedo (just haven't gotten around to fixing it) because one of the cables broke. The question is...if I get the "check engine" light and the #68 "road speed error" does that mean it is the upper or lower cable that is broken? I just want to guess right when I order the part.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. If the check engine light came on it's the lower. Although, check it before you order anything because my lower cable broke off in the transducer, and I had to order the two parts.

The lower cable. The lower cable runs from the T-case to a little box above the T-case. The little box has a set of wires that runs up to the ECU, and a cable that runs to the speedo. I would pull it off and check to see that it is bad before you order a new one.
